Flo is an excellent artist role model for students of all ages. Her art installations are innovative, insightful, and to the point. It is not just her art, but her life as art that is compelling. Her art is interwoven with her values, with respect for all (she looks and listens!), and with her activism, whether in uncovering lost histories, encouraging emerging artists, or participating on community arts organization boards. Always with spirit. Always from the heart.

I have rented a studio from the city of Sunnyvale for a number of years. The studio has become my laboratory where I can experiment with ideas to make actual works of art. It is also my personal treasure chest where I have object, artifacts, and art tools scattered around. Somehow, I manage to create some order out of the chaos. I am privileged to have interns work with me at the studio on a variety of projects. It is a place where my soul is at home.
