Chinatown Series 1983- 1991
Flo Wong is an ageless
spirit full of the stuff of life, brimming with passion about
her work. Her work has opened up a dialogue on the history
of the Chinese in America and its' greater meaning for all
of us, and she does it with the humble materials of a traditional
woman's world by stitching and cut-outs, and transforming
items found in the attic. She is proof that an artist can
emerge at any time and have somethingnew and important to
say, and she is also a tireless friend and inspiration."
