The Painting Series, ink paintings with
Chinese brush on paper, is composed of three major groups
— Tiananmen, Circle, and the Inner Children
pieces. The Tiananmen Series are my response to the
Tiananmen Massacre of June 1989 in the People's Republic of
China. The Circle Series, painted with my dominant
and non-dominant hands, represent my efforts to learn how
to forgive. The Inner Children Series provided a path
to understand myself.
